Local taxis transporting students almost everyday from and to the University of Mpumalanga have now turned sideways. The year 2021 started great with no issues but now the Taxi Associations wants its demands that suddenly rose up out-of-the-blue to be resolved with immediate effects.

The entrance to the University of Mpumalanga has been barricated as the taxi associations demand to provide transportation services to the institution. The R40 entrance to the Mbombela Campuse is blocked with taxis and vehicles. Motorist are warned to avoid the route. The police are on the scene trying to maintain order.
